We are absolutely delighted to have won this Family Learning Award. To have our work recognised in such a way is wonderful. We really want the children and families to appreciate and understand how hard they have worked, how many skills they have learned and how much knowledge they have developed during these sessions. We are proud of each and everyone one of them.
To have almost 1000 children and adults participating in our Living Planet project has truly been amazing.
We would like to say a huge thank you to a schools, who have hosted and promoted these courses and for their continued support as always. Finally, a massive thank you to the RNN Group, who continue to fund our service to provide these learning opportunities for the families of Rotherham”.

FREE Adult Tailored Learning
Rotherham Creative Learning is a vibrant initiative dedicated to offering innovative educational experiences for adults and families within the diverse communities of Rotherham.
Through an array of engaging workshops, courses, and events, it fosters a love for learning and creativity, empowering individuals to explore new skills and interests. Whether it's arts and crafts, digital literacy, or personal development, Rotherham Creative Learning ensures that every participant has access to enriching opportunities that can enhance their quality of life and strengthen community bonds. This inclusive approach not only promotes lifelong learning but also brings people together, building a stronger, more connected Rotherham.
Our Adult Community Courses are aimed at anyone aged 19yrs and over, who live in Rotherham. All our courses are FREE and the great thing is, you do not need any prior skills or qualifications to sign up.

FREE Family Learning in Schools
Our creative family learning programme presents a range of courses designed for families with children from Foundation to Year 6. While the focus remains on creative arts and crafts, each course and activity is woven around curriculum subjects and themes, enhancing the educational experiences blossoming within the school environment.
Family learning is a wonderful way for families to bond and grow together while enhancing their skills and knowledge. When families engage in learning activities together, such as reading, cooking, or exploring new hobbies, they create lasting memories and strengthen their relationships. Family learning provides a platform for parents to model the importance of lifelong learning to their children, inspiring them to develop a love for learning.
Through shared learning experiences, family members can develop a range of skills, including communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. These skills are not only beneficial for individual growth but also for fostering a supportive and collaborative family environment. By working together on projects or challenges, family members can learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses, building a sense of unity and mutual respect within the family unit.

Rotherham Creative Learning is an education service within Rotherham Borough Council. We work alongside Rotherham Schools, children's services and communities to provide Wider Family Learning activities across the Rotherham Borough. Rotherham Borough Council is collaborating with the Rotherham North Notts College (RNN Group) who is funding the service as part of their Tailored Learning Programme.
